Curry is heading to his 16th season in the NBA with the Warriors, and at 36, he is getting closer to retirement.

He has won four NBA titles with the Warriors and holds the record for the most three-pointers made in NBA history. Due to his audacious shot attempts, he is often described as the most fun player to watch.

Meanwhile, Messi has been in the spotlight since 2009, the year Curry was drafted. He won numerous club titles with Barcelona and led Argentina to World Cup glory in 2022.

Curry and Messi comparisons

A few years ago, Curry spoke about the comparisons to Messi in terms of creativity and innovation.

"I think it’s the creative genius to what he does and a flair, but also there is a fundamental aspect to the flair," Curry said, via Sportbible. The work that he puts in, I’m assuming, based on the talent that he has, and combining that with the talent that he has and how that kind of shows when he’s out there on the pitch."

"I think there’s a lot of comparison, really, around the creativity and the innovation that we bring to our respective sports."

With Messi now plying his trade in Miami, it won't be surprising to see the two sporting legends bump shoulders.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Lionel Messi discussed who is the bigger GOAT between him and Michael Jordan.

The Inter Miami star said Jordan is the best, adding that he was convinced after watching the Last Dance documentary.
