The Black Stars of Ghana have safely arrived in N’Djamena ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad.
The four-time African champions touched down in the Central African country late on Tuesday evening before moving to their team hotel to settle in.

Ghana will face Chad on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno, with the match seen as a must-win clash to aid their qualification hopes.
In photos shared on social media, the team - led by captain Jordan Ayew - were seen touching base at the airport before moving to their hotel.

As part of their build-up, the Black Stars will hold a mandatory training session on Wednesday at the match venue, followed by a press conference with head coach Otto Addo.
Later in the afternoon, the squad will return for their final training session to sharpen tactics and make last-minute adjustments ahead of Thursday’s showdown.

Ghana will be aiming to secure maximum points to boost their qualification chances, with players such as Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey, and Antoine Semenyo expected to play pivotal roles in the fixture.
The 1982 African champions demolished Chad 5-0 in the reverse fixture back in March at the Accra Sports stadium and will be hoping to continue their dominance in the away clash.

Ghana to face Mali on Monday
As noted by Ghanafa.org, the four-time African champions will then host Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, 8 September 2025.
These fixtures are crucial for Ghana as they seek to strengthen their position in Group I of the African qualifiers.
Otto Addo’s men sit at the top of Group I with 15 points from six matches, leaving them in a strong position to secure a fifth World Cup appearance.
The Black Stars will conclude their qualifying campaign in October with decisive fixtures against the Central African Republic and Comoros.
With four previous World Cup appearances, Adomonline reports that Ghana currently leads Group I and will be aiming to maintain their advantage as they push for a spot at USA, Mexico, and Canada 2026.
Black Stars hold first training session in Accra
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that the Black Stars of Ghana held their first training session on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Six outfield players and three goalkeepers reported for the first session, under the supervision of coach Otto Addo.
The rest of the players are expected to arrive on Monday evening and join the team for training on Tuesday as preparations intensify for the game against Chad in N'Djamena.
