The host of Metro TV's Good Evening Ghana, Paul Adom Otchere has found himself the subject of public ridicule and embarrassment after he was put in his place by Starr FM's Nii Arday Clegg for making a false statement about their time in school.
The communications advisor, in an interview with Bola Ray last Tuesday claimed that Nii Arday Clegg once took an interim assessment (IA) on his (Paul Adom Otchere) behalf during their undergraduate tenure in University. This statement infuriated Nii Arday Clegg and he took to his own time on air to clear his name and give Paul Adom his own piece of mind.
According to the Starr FM morning show host, he called Paul after the interview but was unable reach him. He sent a text message later in which he expressed his disappointment and his displeasure at the statement made by Paul, who then admitted his statement was false and apologized to the Starr FM radio host.
Nii Arday Clegg further took the matter to his own morning radio show and called Paul Adom Otchere a 'liar and an evil' person. Furious Nii Clegg proceeded to give Paul Adom Otchere possibly, the worst tongue-lashing of his entire career which brought the humble journalist to call on live radio and apologize once again to Nii Arday Clegg, and the Starr FM team.
Some persons in the media industry, including the Journalist of the year Manasseh Azuri. took to their social media platforms to express their shock and disappointment:
Nii Arday Clegg and Paul Adom Otchere were classmates back in the University of Ghana, where they both studied political science.
