The gospel star fell out with the late Daddy Lumba over a financial deal gone wrong.

Things got heated, leading to a long-standing feud between Ampong and Daddy Lumba.

Many suspected that Ampong would miss Daddy Lumba's upcoming one-week observance at the Legon Sports Stadium scheduled for August 30.

According to Ampong, he already has plans to attend the event with his crew to pay his respect to the highlife legend.

"He knew you and yet you disrespected Daddy Lumba."

@dorcasgyimah6184 said:

"Great Ampong, well done for stopping bleaching and letting go of any resentment against the great Daddy Lumba."

@AdomBiNti1988 commented:

"I respect you a lot, but to be honest, we really don’t want to see Ampong there. He’s only talking this way because he knows the man is no longer around. Everything can be done with or without him. And why are you apologising on behalf of Lumba? Ampong doesn’t deserve any apology—Lumba’s spirit would never apologise to him, so please don’t do that and diminish the legend’s name and spirit."

Daddy Lumba's one-week observance gets new venue

Earlier. YEN.com.gh reported that Daddy Lumba's one-week observance has been prohibited from happening on August 30 at the Legon Sports Complex as initially planned.

The La Traditional council, in a statement on August 28, issued a caution to the family, reminding it of the current ban on noise-making and funerals.

Rather than change the date, Daddy Lumba's family announced a new venue, Black Star Square, for the programme. The new venue, Black Star Square in Osu, lies outside the La Council's jurisdiction.
