Controversial Ghanaian political commentator Appiah Stadium grabbed attention online after he jabbed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), Sammy Gyamfi.

Appiah Stadium, born Frank Kwaku Appiah, met the notable National Democratic Congress (NDC) politician on the second day of the Mining and Minerals Convention, held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel, Accra, on September 10, 2025.

The two-day convention was held under the theme "Shaping the Future of Ghana” and brought together high-profile stakeholders in the mining sector to discuss means of redefining the lucrative yet problematic gold industry in the country.

The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, the Administrator of the Minerals Development Fund, Dr. Hannah Louisa Bissiw, the Ellembelle MP and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, the former Okaikoi Central parliamentary candidate Baba Sadiq and others, served as distinguished guests of honour at the event.

In a video seen by YEN.com.gh on the TikTok page of Appiah Stadium, the controversial political commentator was heard interacting with Sammy Gyamfi and Baba Sadiq.

Appiah Stadium displayed his typical boisterous and light-hearted nature as he sang Gyamfi’s praises.

He hyped the GoldBod CEO and extolled his qualities, but also got in some playful jabs that left him laughing.

Appiah Stadium noted that it was difficult to tell if Sammy Gyamfi was young or old, in reference to his numerous accomplishments at a young age.

“God bless you, my CEO. But Sammy Gyamfi is he young or old? Such a great man, NDC has a bright future.” he hailed.

Appiah Stadium flaunts family on social media

Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that Appiah Stadium flaunted his wife and children in a viral video shared to social media.

The video showed Appiah Stadium introducing each member of his family - his wife, two children and his niece - with his usual comedic flair,

The popular political commentator stirred laughter as he shared the nicknames he had given to his children, naming one after President John Dramani Mahama and another after the first Lady, Lordina Mahama.
