A young Ghanaian nurse who recently died in mysterious fashion days before her licensure exams has been buried.

Sandra, known on TikTok as Colourwinner, reportedly died on September 8, 2025, leaving friends and fans heartbroken.

The final-year student of the Presbyterian Nursing and Midwifery Training School, located at Dormaa Ahenkro in the Bono Region of Ghana, reportedly fell ill and collapsed.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she passed away.

Colourwinner, who was prominent on TikTok where she posted about her life and aspiring career as a nursing student, died shortly before her final licensure exams to graduate from school.

News about her death went viral on September 12, as her friends mourned her passing in multiple social media posts.

"Rest well color winner you completed today and left us today awwwwww Sandra why 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭," TikToker Akosua Bestie wrote.

In a series of videos seen by YEN.com.gh on TikTok, Sandra’s final funeral rites were held in her hometown of Suma Ahenkro.

Her friends, family members and colleagues gathered together at a solemn event to say their final goodbyes.

Footage showed her casket being transported to the cemetery for her interment, with many loved ones drowning in grief.

The young nurse's death, shortly before completing her education, weighed heavily on her family and friends, which was reflected in their mood during the funeral.

"Eii, so my friend is gone forever. My heart is shattered, ah. Rest well, my friend," Efya Odo, a good friend of the deceased, shared on social media.

TikTok nurse Abena Jen dies in accident

Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that Abena Jen, a Ghanaian TikToker and nurse, had died in a tragic accident. The newly trained midwife, who had nearly 20,000 TikTok followers, died in a crash on September 15, 2025.

A Toyota HiAce passenger vehicle she was travelling in reportedly collided with a DAF truck loaded with 70 bags of rice at Wakrom near Yamoransa on the Cape-Coast to Accra highway, killing five people and injuring 12 others.
