The Sunday, June 25, performance began with a surprise appearance by Offset and Quavo, who walked into a spotlight surrounded by smoke and lasers.

According to Billboard, Takeoff's verse from "Hotel Lobby," a song from their 2022 spin-off project, played as they danced.

Emotional tribute

The duo then performed "Bad and Boujee," Migos' hit song that reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2017.

This marked the first performance for Offset and Quavo together since Takeoff's death.

It's worth noting that Offset did not perform with Migos during their festival dates the previous year, so this was their first time on stage together in at least a year.

Offset's wife, Cardi B, expressed her appreciation for the moment on Twitter, stating that she was proud of the boys.

The 2023 BET Awards continued with other performances and presentations, including a lifetime achievement award presentation to Busta Rhymes.
