Veteran Nigerian actor Segun Arinze made a grand entrance in Accra, Ghana, proudly wearing a military uniform embellished with a custom-made Akwaabaa sash, symbolising his deep love and appreciation for Ghanaian culture and heritage.
His visit is part of his preparations for the highly anticipated Africa Art stage play, The Black Star, The Teacher of Africa, which aims to celebrate and explore the continent's rich history and identity.

Segun Arinze arrives in Ghana
Directed by the talented Ghanaian filmmaker Emmanuel Ato Ghartey, the production is set to take the stage on the 19th, 20th, and 21st of September at the prestigious University of Ghana Amphitheatre.
Segun Arinze, a legendary figure in Nollywood, expressed his excitement during a press conference held at the Kotoka International Airport.

He spoke passionately about the historical and cultural ties that bind Ghana and Nigeria.
"I didn’t see this coming. I thought I would just walk in quietly and meet the cast. It is a good feeling for Ghana and Nigeria to collaborate," he remarked.
Segun Arinze emphasised the strong bonds of brotherhood and intermarriages between the two countries.
He reflected on the shared historical figures such as Kwame Nkrumah and Acheampong, stating,
"Kwame Nkrumah is a legend; he was a true pioneer, and there is hardly anyone in Nigeria who doesn't recognise his impact. I look forward to being a part of this performance that honours such a significant legacy."
The Black Star: The Teacher of Africa promises to be a powerful celebration of African heritage, weaving together elements of storytelling and performance that immerse audiences in the diverse cultural tapestry of the continent.
