Nigerian chef Hilda Baci has posted a behind-the-scenes video as she makes preparations to attempt another Guinness World Record.

The award-winning chef stood at the centre of the pot and used a new scrubbing brush and mop to clean the customised giant pot.

Hilda Baci disclosed that she would be using 250 bags of rice to prepare the best Nigerian jollof for her new world record attempt, which would approximately feed over twenty thousand fans at Eko Hotel and Suites on Friday, September 12, 2025.

The restaurateur shared the video on Instagram with this caption:

"Yes, I can officially confirm this pot is squeaky clean! 🫧✨ I personally rolled up my sleeves and washed it myself, thanks to my trusted @vivaplusdetergent 💚. In just a few hours, this same pot will be home to thousands of servings of Nigerian Jollof history in the making."

Hilda Baci's giant pot arrives at Eko Hotel

In another viral video shared on Hilda Baci's Instagram page, she updated her fans and admirers on how she transported her giant pot from Muri Okunola Park to Eko Hotels, both on Victoria Island in Lagos, for convenience and space to accommodate more fans from Nigeria and the world.

Hilda disclosed that more than 20,000 people had registered to attend the 'Gino World Jollof Festival with Hilda Baci'.

Hilda Baci to cook 250 bags of rice

Earlier, YEN.com.gh wrote about Nigerian chef Hilda Baci, who explained why she would use 250 bags of rice for her jollof record attempt.
