On Saturday, September 13, 2025, a representative from the Guinness World Records (GWR) gave their honest opinion after tasting Nigerian chef Hilda Baci's world's largest pot of jollof rice.

The GWR representative, in the presence of thousands of Nigerians, chefs, celebrities and fans, described Hilda Baci's jollof as delicious.

GWR representative endorses Hilda Baci's Jollof

Nigerian chef Hilda Baci explained in a viral video why she had to reduce the quantity of bags of rice she wanted to cook for her world jollof challenge.

She cooked over 5,000 kilograms of jollof rice in a massive custom pot at Eko Hotel in Lagos on September 12, 2025.

According to videos circulating on X, the giant cooking pot broke when Hilda Baci and her team attempted to weigh the food as part of the requirements to win the new record.

The massive pot cracked under strain, but the verdict from the GWR personnel proved the jollof rice was perfectly hygienic and healthy to eat despite the setbacks.

In a viral video sighted by YEN.com.gh, one of Hilda Baci's team members was seen serving Nigerians free Jollof on September 13, 2025.

Some Nigerians rushed to the venue with their bowls and ice chest to collect the record-setting jollof rice to their homes.

The hardworking young woman demonstrated the process of scrubbing and cleaning the metallic pot in a viral video.
