Roman Father, the manager of the late Charles Ofosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, said his boss admired Sarkodie, and it showed in his actions.

According to Roman Father, the only artist whose photo was in Daddy Lumba’s hall alongside other top politicians was Michael Owusu Addo, popularly called Sarkodie.

In a video on X, Roma Father said Daddy Lumba held Sarkodie in high esteem for his musical prowess.

He added that Sarkodie revered Daddy Lumba. Roman Father disclosed that Sarkodie did not take any money from Daddy Lumba when he featured on the legend's songs.

“Sarkodie is the only artist whose picture can be found in Daddy Lumba’s living room. There are photos of other politicians. Sarkodie said Daddy Lumba tried paying him for their collaboration, but he rejected the money. Sarkodie saw it as a privilege to collaborate with Daddy Lumba on a song.”

Sarkodie featured on Daddy Lumba’s ‘Anadwo yi deɛ’ and ‘Mafe odo.’ They performed them together at various shows.

The counsel for Daddy Lumba's family issued a statement to announce the music legend's demise.

Ghanaians on social media sympathised with the family over the passing of their loved one in the comment section.
