Tears Flow as 7-Year-Old Feared Dead After Flood Waters Carry Him Away in Ashanti Town

A seven-year-old boy is feared drowned after flooding that swept through the Abrepo Bronikrom area following a sudden and heavy downpour.

The incident occurred on the evening of September 27 during a major rainstorm in the Ashanti Region.

Adom News reported that the incident has plunged the community into grief and sparked frantic search efforts.

The child was bathing in the rain with two other children when disaster struck.

According to detailed eyewitness accounts, the unfortunate chain of events began when a slipper belonging to one of the children was dislodged and swept away by the rapidly rising and forceful floodwaters.

The seven-year-old then tried to save the slipper but was also swept away.

The immediate aftermath saw residents and emergency responders search for the boy.
