An alleged associate of the late Stephen King Amoah, a 38-year-old Ghana Immigration Service officer, has been rebuked after making a remark that most people consider to be inflammatory and dangerous.

The man, who claimed to be an associate of the deceased Immigration Officer Stephen King Amoah, was captured in a viral video seen by YEN.com.gh, calling for harm against the main suspect in the case, Bright Aweh.

His statements, which many have described as reckless, have since been the subject of massive backlash online.

The man was expressing his anger over his friend's death. He directed most of his vitriol squarely at the alleged murderer, Bright Aweh.

YEN.com.gh previously reported that Stephen King Amoah's death stemmed from a dispute involving a significant debt Aweh owed to Amoah.

According to court documents and family statements, Aweh allegedly lured Amoah to a remote location under false pretences before committing the act.

Bright Aweh is currently in custody awaiting sentencing set to be delivered on October 9, 2025.

Stephen King's associate vents out on Bright Aweh

The man in his video issued death threats to Bright Aweh, claiming that time in prison "is not a sufficient punishment" for the suspect.

Under Ghanaian law, threatening to take the life of another person is a criminal offence. The Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) criminalises threats of harm or criminal force.

As such, the remarks made by the man purporting to be Stephen King Amoah's associate amount to an illegality, punishable by law.

The suspect ostensibly called the deceased and asked him to meet at Aggie’s Spot in Ashongman Estate under the guise of settling a GH¢200,000 debt that Aweh owed Stephen King Amoah.

Amoah was found murdered after going missing on July 3, 2025. Portions of the plot to murder Amoah were reportedly caught on CCTV.
