Reactions to hotels in the Ashanti Region

Social media users who took to the comments section of the video have shared varied opinions on the data from the Ghana Tourism Authority and its impact on the hospitality industry.

DUKE OF TAIFA stated:

"So they don’t have a five-star hotel, and they are fighting OOBAKE."

Queenama2805 opined:

"The highest-rated hotels we have in Ghana are 4.5-star — that is Kempinski, Marriott and Movenpick. Very few countries in Africa have five-star hotels. If you have been to Dubai or South Africa, you will know what a five-star hotel is. Or you can simply google what makes a hotel four-star. Educate yourself."

"A whole Kumasi with no five-star hotel?"

Nana-yaw stated:

"Well, talking of five-star hotels in Accra, you can start with Kempinski Hotel, Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra Marriott Hotel, Labadi Beach Hotel, Number One Oxford Street Hotel, and Kwarleyz Residence. Kumasi without a five-star hotel isn’t surprising, because it’s just a regional capital."
