Bride slaps mother in law who slapped her over food
Meanwhile, Yen.com.gh reported that a recent wedding in Lagos, Nigeria, ended in discord due to a miscommunication between the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom.
The groom was forced to call off the wedding after the bride and her mother-in-law got into an argument over food at the reception, according to Twitter user @SeeHausaBoy. In order to serve each of their guests, the bride and groom had made separate meals.
The bride was approached by the groom's mother to request that her caterers serve some very important visitors, but she declined. But, the mother-in-law continued to serve food from the ice chest to the distinguished visitors.
The bride, who by this time had already gotten into the car to leave with the groom, got out and started to move to grab the food her mother-in-law had served and put it back in the ice chest.
The bride's mother-in-law slapped her out of embarrassment, but she immediately responded, surprising everyone. The surprised groom subsequently made the decision to call off the wedding and left with his loved ones.
