How did sleeping TikTok couple meet?

The lovebirds Ray and Maissy went viral in 2023 for recording themselves while sleeping, attracting audiences on TikTok.

Many praised the lovebirds for being unique and creative, and the two made money from the trendy app.

The lovebirds, after becoming TikTok sensations and making money from the app, moved from the slums to a two-bedroom apartment, and they said they were excited.

In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, Maissy revealed how she met Ray. She said they were both returning from work late in the night when they met. The two met again twice after arriving home late and decided to date.

"At first, I did not want to date him, but with time, I decided to date him, and here we are," she said.

Viral TikTok couple breaks up

Of late, fans noticed that the two have not been going live together after Ray took to TikTok to reveal they had parted ways.

TUKO.co.ke reached out to Maissy, Ray's girlfriend, and she accused him of using and dumping her.

"He dumped me. It hurt, but I am okay now," she said.

Sleeping TikTok couple returns to hometown

The heartbroken lady revealed she was an orphan, raising her two younger sisters, accusing Ray of taking everything and leaving her with nothing.

"We moved out of the 2-bedroomed house and returned to our hometown I am living alone with my sisters. He took everything from me," she narrated.

Maissy, who is trying to start afresh, recalled sleeping on the floor because she had no mattress.

"I hate him. He wasted my time, but I leave everything to God," she said.

We slept on a carpet for days before he sent me an old mattress he was using before we moved in together.

The young lady said they live at a house their mother had bought before she passed away. She further accused Ray of lying to people to gain.

"We dated for three years and I feel wasted. We bought the bed, and utensils among other household items from the money we made from TikTok but later he took everything."

Maissy claimed Ray blocked her from their joint accounts, and he was the only one who had access to them.

"Ajue machozi ya yatima haiendangi bure (orphans' tears do not go to waste)," she said.

Maissy revealed she had started working, hoping things would go well so she could give her sisters a better life.
