Staff at a funeral home have been left in shock after a woman who was brought in as dead turned out to be alive.

Who pronounced Constance Glantz dead?

The BBC reported that a 74-year-old woman was pronounced dead at a local hospital before being still breathing by mortuary attendants.

The woman, identified as Constance Glantz, had been pronounced dead by staff at a nearby nursing home about two hours earlier.

Staff at the funeral home near Lincoln noticed the woman breathing and performed CPR on her before making an emergency call to the police.

She was later taken to a local hospital as police launched investigations into the mysterious incident.

What police said about Constance Glantz's resurrection

The preliminary report indicates police have not found evidence of criminal intent at the nursing home.

Chief Deputy Ben Houchin from the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office told the media that the incident was so unique in the area

"I have been doing this for 31 years, and nothing like this has ever gotten to this point before," Houchin said.

He disclosed that the woman's death had been anticipated, and her physician was willing to sign her death certificate.

"A physician had seen her in the last seven days, and the physician was willing to sign the death certificate, and... there was nothing suspicious at the time of the death," he added.

How a woman resurrected in Berhampur?

A woman believed to be dead after getting burned in a deadly fire woke up again just a few moments before she was cremated.

According to Metro, 52-year-old Bujji Aamma from Berhampur, India, was severely burned at home on February 1.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, her condition worsened, as half her body had been severely affected.

Her family was unable to get her to another hospital due to poor finances, and she later shut her eyes.
