"The National Signals Bureau now has the technology to use your IP number and find you wherever you are. So, I’m sending a signal to Ghanaians that we can find you, those (engaged in) hate speech and similar activities. We’ll use your IP number, we’ll trace you. And when we trace you, we’ll deal with you under the criminal code for inciting violence and disturbing the peace," he warned.

While discussing this on United Showbiz show on Saturday, September 13, 2025, Nana Romeo commended the government for finally taking action on the use of intemperate language online.

He further urged the government to apply the law equally, as both the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) have sympathisers on social media inciting hate speech.

The popular media personality, who hosts the Ekwansodwoodwoo show on Okay FM, cited Kevin Taylor as a typical example of individuals known to be spreading hate speech and misinformation on social media.

He consequently vowed to keenly monitor Kevin Taylor now that there is a government directive to clamp down on hate speech on social media.

"Some of us will be keenly monitoring to see how the law would be applied because we know people in the NDC party who insult their opponents on social media. Kevin Taylor is one of such people. He's widely known for that. So, from henceforth, we would all be monitoring Kevin Taylor to see if he would keep insulting people or he would stop," he said.
