Students from two SHSs fight after a football match

- Students from two Senior High Schools have allegedly engaged in a fight after a football match

- This was after one of them, Armed Forces Secondary Technical School, went down by two goals to nil

Students from two Senior High Schools have been involved in fight, after one took the lead in a football match, YEN.com.gh can report.

This was after the players from Armed Forces Secondary Technical School in Accra pounced on the students of St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School, after they conceded two goals.

The incident occurred on Friday, November 23, 2018, and several people present were injured as a result.

“They threw stones and threatened us; I saw one of our students bleeding and another collapsed, ” said an unidentified student from St Thomas Acquinas Senior High School.

He added that he is unable to determine the fate of his colleagues, but concluded some of them could be seeking medical attention.

According to him, bystanders intervened and asked the attackers stop, else it may have turned more violent.

He went on to say that even though he was attacked, he is doing fine. In his opinion, there were about 100 people attacking them, and he succeeded in escaping the attack by running through a bush.

Another source said St. Thomas Aquinas’ students were forced to hide at vantage points for safety.

The Armed Forces Secondary Technical School did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
