Football in Ghana thrives on bribery; my kids won’t play for Ghana - Ransford Osei

- Ransford Osei has taken a swipe at the Ghana Football Association

- He said GFA is a talent killer

- According to him, one can only excel by offering a bribe

Ghana U–20 World Cup winner, Ransford Osei, has stated that football in Ghana thrives on bribery, not merit.

“In Ghana, you will have to tip the decision-makers before you are given the chance at the top level,” he said before officially announcing his retirement from football at age 30.

Osei began his career at Kessben fc now Medeama sporting club.

He vowed to stop his kids from playing for Ghana due to the unfairness in the offering of opportunities.

“I will not allow my children to play for Ghana. I am being very honest. I am not afraid of the consequences of this statement. Ghana football isn’t based on merit unlike European football,” he stated.

He last played for Lithuanian side FK Palanga, featuring for 11 clubs during his playing career.

In other sports news, former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, has flaunted his riches on social media.

In the photo sighted by YEN.com.gh, Gyan is captured looking dapper as he posed like a model.

Gyan wore an African outfit complementing his looks with sunglasses.

From the photo, one can clearly see the expensive cars of the football star lined up behind him.

Meanwhile, Black Stars goalkeeper, Fatawu Dauda, has married his long-time girlfriend, Faliatu Alhassan, in a beautiful wedding ceremony.

Little is known about Faliatu as of now, however, YEN.com.gh gathered that the two have been seeing each other for quite a good time now.

From the photos seen, the two look just gorgeous together, and Fatawu is sure to be a man with good taste as his wife's beauty is one to make heads turn.
