Shaquille O'Neal is known for his legendary thunderous dunks and free throw misses in his NBA career, but he is also a man of the people.

Since his retirement, the towering centre has shown his philanthropic side by making the day of fans.

In 2022, he decided to pay for dinner for everyone in a restaurant where he was having a date, and the story went viral.

According to Page Six, Shaq arrived at the restaurant in the evening with his 'date' and ordered Beijing chicken, shrimp tempura, and chicken satay.

After he was done eating, he went to buy dinner for the entire serving team and then paid the bill for everyone who was dining at the restaurant. He parted with around $25,000.

The report adds that the Los Angeles Lakers icon wanted his act of generosity to remain a secret until he left the restaurant. He also left a big tip for the employees.

Earlier this year, he bought 20 pairs of size 23 shoes for a 16-year-old boy who could find his size, per People.

The four-time NBA champion has done many random acts of kindness, well-documented over the years.

The NBA icon is reportedly worth $500 million thanks to investments and his job as an analyst at TNT. He reportedly made close to $300mil in his playing career, per Clutch Points.
