Erling Haaland has finally come out to address his run-ins with Gabriel Magalhaes during their heated encounter last month.
Both players starred for their teams when Arsenal travelled to the Etihad to face Manchester City in a Premier League game.
Riccardo Calafiori canceled out Haaland's early opener before Gabriel put the Gunners ahead. John Stones equalised for the hosts right at the death after Arsenal had played the second half with 10 men following Leandro Trossard's dismissal.
Haaland vs Arsenal
The incidents after Stones' goal drew as much attention as the game itself, with Haaland getting involved in a couple of theatrics. The Norwegian threw the ball at Gabriel before barging into Thomas Partey on restart.
He later asked Arteta to be humble minutes after asking Arsenal debutant Myles Lewis-Skelly who he was.
Haaland breaks silence on Gabriel incident
The former Borussia Dortmund finally addressed the incident two weeks after it happened.
"'I don't regret much in life. It was in the heat of the moment, and a lot of stuff happened in that game. Things that happen on the football pitch stay there, and that’s how it is," he told the Guardian.
Gabriel had previously warned Haaland to prepare for a battle when City visit the Emirates next year.
"It’s a battle, a war, so it’s normal to have provocative acts in football; it’s part of the game. Now, this is over, and we are waiting for them at our ground," he said as quoted by GOAL.
Why Trossard was sent off vs Man City
YEN.com.gh had also reported on why Leandro Trossard was sent off against Manchester City.
The Belgian winger had earlier been booked for stopping a Manchester City counter-attack before he was shown his second yellow card just before half-time.
