Ghana drops points against Chad
According to the BBC, Ghana had taken the lead in N'Djamena through captain Jordan Ayew and looked on course for another victory. Several chances came their way, but none were taken.
The price of those misses was paid in the dying moments when Celestine Ecua pounced on Mbangossoum’s pass and fired home the equaliser in the 89th minute, per CAF Online.
The goal sparked wild scenes inside the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Deby Itno and snatched away what could have been Ghana’s fifth straight win.

The draw left Ghanaian supporters deeply frustrated, and once again, Addo became the focus of their criticism.
Many accused him of failing to manage the game, a recurring complaint since he took charge.
Heated exchange between Otto Addo and a journalist
Almost immediately after the Chad result, a clip of Addo’s old exchange with Kobby Stone of Multimedia Ghana Limited went viral again.
The confrontation had originally happened months earlier, after Ghana’s painful exit from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Black Stars had lost 2-1 to Niger, and in the heated press conference that followed, Addo faced a barrage of harsh questions.
The most intense moment came when Kobby Stone openly questioned his tactical abilities, even suggesting that the coach was better suited to scouting than to leading a national team. Addo defended himself firmly, saying:
“Twelve years of coaching and six months of scouting. Now I ask you: what am I?”
The journalist, however, hit back bluntly:
“Then I think you’re good at scouting than coaching, because in coaching you’re not good at all!”
That fiery exchange has found new life, with fans linking it to Ghana’s latest disappointment against Chad.

@Mr_Gidiglo said:
"The journalist really pressed his neck. No one will tell him to resign."
@amoasi_ekow added:
"We are back here again. Poor game management by Otto Addo."
@TwoTerty_ went in hard:
"Otto Addo is useless. If y'all can’t say it I have said it."
Sports journalist, @theyawofosu, shared his frustration:
"If this result doesn’t pierce anyone out there that Otto Addo isn’t good enough to coach this team, then I don’t know what will. This is embarrassing."
And @Bill_Eshun, the reigning SWAG Sports Journalist of the Year, wrapped it up:
"See Otto Addo no try. Why stick with that midfield when we need progression and an extra goal?"
The resurfaced footage, coupled with the draw against Chad, has only deepened the conversation about Addo’s future and whether he is the right man to guide Ghana forward.
