Clooney, who has four-year-old twins with Amal, said he was prompted to send the letter after seeing photos of actress Billie Lourd's one-year-old published online.

"I am a public figure and accept the oftentimes intrusive photos as part of the price to pay for doing my job. Our children have made no such commitment.
"The nature of my wife's work has her confronting and putting on trial terrorist groups and we take as much precaution as we can to keep our family safe. We cannot protect our children if any publication puts their faces on their cover," Clooney’s statement read in part.

He further pointed out that he and his wife are not on social media and never share photos of their kids to avoid putting their lives in jeopardy.

“We hope that you would agree that the need to sell advertisement isn't greater than the need to keep innocent children from being targeted,” he concluded.

Clooney gifts friends KSh 109 million each

YEN.com.gh previously reported that the actor said he gifted 14 of his closest friends Ksh 109 million each for their kindness and helping him when he was in need.

In a candid interview with GQ, the actor confirmed rumours about his giveaway back in 2013 and even shared how he got his hands on KSh 1.5 billion in cash.

The actor said:

"We are all good friends and I thought, without them, I don’t have any of this. And we are all really close. I thought if I get hit by a bus, they are all in the will. So why am I waiting to get hit by a bus?"

The 59-year-old said he got the cash at a classified place in Los Angeles, US, and bought 14 luxury luggage bags which he then placed a million dollars each before gifting them.
