Ghana’s ‘Highest’ rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, widely known as Sarkodie, has lauded Agona-Swedru-based musician, Patapaa Amisty, for pushing further his brand to the top.
According to Sarkodie, the ‘One Corner’ hitmaker’ has a very strong brand and has kept his originality up to a level.
Many critics have taken to various social media platforms to troll Patapaa for losing out at the VGMAs.
Others have also mocked him for his choice of fashion to the VGMAs, giving him all kinds of names on social media.
However, Sarkodie in a tweet has encouraged Patapaa and his crew to forge ahead despite losing out at the VGMAs.
The famous Ghanaian rapper showing his brotherly love to Patapaa said, "That Patapaa brand is strong and if you know very well about branding you will agree ... He keeps it organic.”
Prior to the 2018 VGMAs, Patapaa had expressed hope of winning the ‘Most Popular Song of the Year’ category.
The young artiste in an interview insisted that he was going to pick the award over his closest contenders.
However, Patapaa reportedly stormed out of the International Conference Center after losing the award to Tamale-based young artiste, Fancy Gadam.
