5 interesting things about John Dumelo's wedding

On Saturday, May 14, 2018, actor and entrepreneur, John Dumelo married Gifty Mawunya at a private ceremony in Accra, Ghana.

The event attracted people from all walks of life, and was marked by a number of significant details.

1. He kept it a secret:

Very few people knew of John Dumelo's wedding until the date was due. Considering his status as a celebrity, and for that matter, a public figure, it came as a surprise to several people.

2. Presence of military men:

YEN.com.gh understands that two military men guarded the entrance to the venue of the wedding. This is certainly not a usual feature one sees at Ghanaian weddings?

3. Former President John Mahama was present:

As the wedding was going on, Former President John Mahama showed up, to the delight of all present.

4. Took over both local & international media:

The news of John Dumelo's wedding, spread like wildfire as soon it became public. Various media houses covered several angles of the memorable event, and shared lovely photos as well.

5. KOD fails to show up:

Ghanaian broadcaster, Kofi Okyere Darko, popularly known as KOD, was 'attacked' on social media for his additional comments about the wedding after he broke the news.

YEN.com.gh learnt that he failed to show up, and several assumptions were given in that respect.

He however explained that he was working on a photoshoot on that day, and could therefore not have gone for the wedding.
