“I was the first artiste he signed on Zylofon Music. He knows I have a keen interest in music. I was best known for dancing and singing in high school so he had every reason to put me on," he told Delay.

For Kumi, because Nana Appiah was familiar with his talents, there was nothing fo him to prove.

Zylofon Music has since signed on soul and highlife singer Becca. The label has also acquired arguably Ghana's two biggest dancehall artistes at the moment, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.

But Kumi Guitar believes he opened the door for all these other artistes to come into the Zylofon fold.

In the end, he denied any bad blood with Stonebwoy due to recent misunderstandings between the two. Kumi Guitar referred to their relationship as that of a family.
