The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has rescinded his decision to quit Parliament.
According to a report by Kasapafmonline.com, he changed his mind after New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives in the Central region pleaded with him.
Addressing party supporters at Nyankumasi within his constituency, Agyapong announced that he was exiting politics because he feels cheated and insulted by the NPP.
He explained that the party has not been fair to him despite subjecting him the worst form of embarrassment when he appeared before the privileges committee over his comments on the legislature.
But moments after his address, teeming supporters, some in tears, surged towards him and begged him to reverse his decision, which he obliged.
Speaking on Kasapa News, the Central Regional Secretary of the NPP, Mr Terchie Mensah said NPP Central Region would have suffered greatly if Hon. Ken Agyapong carried out his threat of quitting politics.
