Anthony recalled how Asamoah Gyan's suit against them had a negative effect on his image and brand.

"I have lost so much and I need to clear my name. Filing a civil suit against Asamoah Gyan is non-negotiable," he said in an interview with Mynewsgh.com.

"I am waiting to pick the ruling from court and we can take it from there," he added.

Anthony Sarfo did not mince words on his quest to go ahead and sue the Black Stars captain for defamation.

Anthony made the revelation shortly after an Accra High Court acquitted him and three others who were sued for defamation.

The four had been battling a case in court with Asamoah Gyan over a sexual offense story published about the Kayserispor forward.

According the story which was published by Chris Handler and Anthony Sarfo, Asamoah Gyan had committed a sexual offense against a law student by name Sarah Kwabla.

Asamoah Gyan was alleged to have forcefully slept with Sarah when he went to visit Sarah in her apartment.

After the story was published, Asamoah Gyan put up a defense and accused Chris, Anthony, Sarah and Ekow Micah of attempting to blackmail and extort money from him.

It was following his defense that he sued the four persons for defamation but the court after hearing the case on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 dismissed the case.

The Judge, Her Honour Afia Agbanu Kumador, therefore upheld the submission of 'a no case' filed by counsel for the defendants explaining that the prosecution had not been able to prove that a prima facie case had been established against the accused persons.
