Asamoah Gyan meets Kwesi Appiah in Accra today
- Asamoah Gyan pays visit to coach Kwesi Appiah in his office
- The purpose of the meeting is believed to have to been to thrash out differences between the two men following a change in the team’s leadership hierarchy
General Captain of the senior national team, Asamoah Gyan, on Tuesday, May 28, paid a courtesy call on coach Kwesi Appiah in Accra.
The two were engaged in a cordial talk to thrash out their difference following their marred relationship in recent times.
Gyan shared photos of the meeting on his Twitter handle.

Coach Kwesi Appiah stripped the Black Stars striker of the captaincy ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Egypt.
He has since announced Andre Ayew as the substantive caption of the Black Stars, with Kwadwo Asamoah as the deputy.
The latest development led Asamoah Gyan to retire from the team, albeit briefly. He rescinded his decision after the intervention of President Akufo Addo.
The development led to mixed reactions from the public; with some supporting the coach’s decision and others disagreeing with him.
But Gyan’s last minute change of mind and availability to play for Ghana calmed matters.

Coach Kwesi Appiah subsequently name his 29-man provisional squad for the AFCON.
Meanwhile President Akufo-Addo has applauded Gyan for meeting Appiah.
