Mzbel biography

Nana is the daughter of engineer Albert A. Amoah - her dad, and Agnes Nyarko – her mum. She is the last child in a family of nine – two parents and seven children.

Mzbel education

She schooled at God Wisdom Preparatory schools, then later, for her Junior High School Education, she joined Korle Gonno 1 and Owusu Mills' JHS respectively.

Her teenage years were not any different from her adult life as we know it. She admitted that she bleached her skin while she was a teenager because that was the trend in Jamestown.

The hiplife artist joined Abuakwa State College for her secondary education where she took General Arts and doubled down in Geography, Economics and French. After her secondary education, Nana enrolled to Ghana Institute of Languages, after a successful application, where she was equipped with the skills of bilingual secretary.

However, while pursuing her course, she came to learn of an opportunity – a one-year training program in Television Production – offered by the Manifold Tutorial College and she grabbed it. In this course, Mzbel trained in Public Relations, TV & Radio Production.

Mzbel was born a day after Christmas, December 26th, 1979 to be precise. She was born in Accra, Ghana. She, however, brought up in James Town and Mallam.

While on a show in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), she was reportedly sexually assaulted by a group of students who loved her so much. The boys were so much infatuated with her, thanks to her stage acts, that they decided to do the heinous act.

Recently, the Hiplife artist gave her side of the story on the ten-year-old matter. She said that she was not assaulted sexually. She said that the boys liked her performance so much that they wanted more from her.

She was, however, too tired to proceed with the show. That is when the boys took her clothes apart while pulling her into the crowd with their fingers dipped into the honey jar. She was stricken by the incident so much that he passed out.

Castro came to her rescue and carried her to her room. He later explained to her what had happened.
