- Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako believes Captain Smart will be assassinated

- The self-acclaimed pastor says the media personality will be killed at his residence

The beginning of a new year comes with an avalanche of doomsday prophecies mainly from self-acclaimed men of God who predict deaths, disasters and dark political events. The latest to have dropped his oracle is the head pastor of the Alive Chapel International, Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako.

The self-acclaimed man of God in his New Year Prophecy during his first sermon of Sunday revealed that media personality, Captain Smart, will be assassinated by the fourth month of the year.

Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako claims that the media personality will be killed in his house by a recruited assassin.

“There is an ambush that four people have laid against a radio presenter. If he is going to enter his house, four men will shoot him 30 times and run off on a motorbike. The man is called captain smart, there are four people who hate him and they have employed some Muslim boys that by this year April, he will be bragging that nothing can touch him. But by the time he knows he has become a ghost,” he stated.

Captain Smart had earlier raised alarm over assassination attempts and death threats on his life. Also, Investigative Journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni, had raised an alarm over death threats on his life after writing and article on the just ended elections.

The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has called for immediate police investigations into death threats against investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni.

Manasseh, on a Joy News program, revealed how an NPP enthusiast threatened to “eliminate” him of his recent article titled: “ERRORtoral Commission and Akufo-Addo’s coup d’état”, discussed the pockets of electoral violence and infractions that even left many voters disenfranchised.

Responding to this development, the GJA also called on President Akufo-Addo to intervene in the protection of the journalist so as to foster press freedom.

“The GJA calls on the President, who is the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, to condemn the death threats against journalists and give a firm assurance about their safety and security,” a statement signed by the association’s General Secretary demanded.

Ghana’s 2020 elections has been documented by many political scientists as the most controversial and bloody.

Election results declared by the Returning Officer to the President – Jean Mensa – confirms that John Mahama was unable to garner 50 plus one votes. The results show that John Mahama polled 6,214,889 while Nana Addo polled 6,730,413 votes.

The opposition NDC has fiercely rejected the results of the election. John Mahama has described it as flawed and rigged. Party supporters have also picketed at the headquarters of the Electoral Commission on various occasions against the results.
