He added that he got noticed by one of the second-hand dealers who indicated that he listens to his songs.

On another visit to the market, Joey B said he met one guy who accosted him and said he was always coming to the 'bend-down' boutique to buy clothes.

To this, Joey B said that very soon, he would stop coming to Kantamanto to buy clothes because he would become a star.

Years later, Joey B said he went to Accra Mall to perform and after his performance, someone called him that Kofi Mole wanted to see him.

On reaching there, he saw the young man he used to buy second-hand clothes from and they hugged each other.

Joey B said it was a very emotional moment for him and he would have even shed tears because he was moved by how a second-hand clothes dealer had risen to become a music star.
