Some two female students of St. Louis Junior High School (JHS) in Kumasi who were reported kidnapped have finally been found days after their 'disappearance'.
According to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Ghanaweb, the young ladies were found at Tafo in Kumasi in the homes of their boyfriends.
This was after a search party was tasked to find them on Sunday, February 7, 2021, after a report was lodged by their parents.
The boyfriends of the 'missing JHS' girls had absconded by the time the police reached their hideout.
The teenage girls claimed they were kidnapped on their way home after school on Friday, February 5, 2021.
The victims, after close of school, reportedly picked a taxi to transport them to Breman UGC where they live with their parents.
Upon reaching Suame in the evening, the taxi driver diverted from the main route and took the girls to Suame Magazine, an area they are not familiar with.
One of the girls who managed to call her brother with the phone of one of the suspects who had dropped it in the room where they were keeping their victims said: “We are 10 people in the room. The boys and their bodyguards are sleeping with us. One of the girls who earlier called her father with her own phone has been stabbed with a knife”.
The father of one of the victims who was with the Suame Police search team collapsed over the matter.
The Ashanti Regional Police Command was informed about the development and awaited clearance for extra men to be deployed to rescue the girls.
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that a pastor of the Living Faith Church also known as Winners’ Chapel, Pastor Afolabi Samuel, has been handed a 3-year jail sentence after being found guilty of stealing.
