Stonebwoy has sent congratulatory messages to his colleagues in Nigeria, Burna Boy, and Wizkid, on winning at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
He called on all Africans to rise up and praise Nigeria for what he described as their consistency in holding the mantle for the whole continent.
Stonebwoy completed his message by criticising Ghana when he wrote “As for Ghana, smh, I’ll be back.”
However, it seems Samini has been offended by Stonebwoy’s words and blasted him.
He accused Stonebwoy of being dishonest and disrespectful to him, adding that if all Ghanaian artistes were going to relate well with each other, Ghana would also go far.
This has escalated into beef and the two musicians have been bantering each other on social media.
Fans have commented on the development with many supporting and defending Stonebwoy.
Ayowa Perbi, for instance, said if Samini needs respect, he should go and sit in his family house:
Rich asked what Samini wants from Stonebwoy:
Kaystudios also attacked Samini:
Konkondo also said he lost respect for Samini because he does not respect himself:
Rashid applauded Samini's work but added that his choice of words for Stonebwoy was bad:
Cyrus suggested that Samini could have spoken with Stonebwoy on phone rather than ranting on Twitter:
Meanwhile, Samini has further disgraced Stonebwoy when he wrote that he was not his mate but rather his son.
Samini wrote in one of the tweets that Shatta Wale is his mate while Stonebwoy remains his son.
Stonewboy responded by writing that he knows Samini and has a personal relationship with him, therefore, he would not continue to beef him on social media.
Shatta Wale has also waded into the controversy and spoken his mind on the matter.
