Reports reaching YEN.com.gh have it that Anthony Jay Dordoye, the lover and the suspected murderer of Harriet Kafui Ahiati in Ho has indicated that she cheated on him.
According to a Ghanaweb report sighted by YEN.com.gh, Mr Dordoye is said to have told the police that his lover, 25, cheated on him.
In a bid to confront his lover Harriet Kafui Ahiati, 25, over the issue, things got out of hand and he allegedly took her life in her house.
According to the Head of Police Public Affairs, Sergeant Prince Dogbatse, Jay reportedly made the confession while in the operating room after he tried to end his own life.
Jay is receiving treatment after he cut his throat and inflicted a deep cut on his stomach that saw his intestine almost gushing out.
Dogbatse was hopeful that the staff at the Ho Teaching Hospital will stabilize him and keep him alive to assist with investigations.
Meanwhile, the mother of the late Harriet Kafui Ahiati has narrated how she heard of the sudden demise of her daughter.
She said she was not around when the incident happened but on her return, saw people in her house. When she asked what the problem was, no one was speaking.
She then opened the door to see her daughter on the floor in her own blood.
In other news, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Mary Owusuwaa Fatima, one of the ladies in the ongoing dating reality show on TV3, Date Rush, has shared the story of her life and why she lived in an orphanage for 19 years.
While speaking in an interview with Ghanaian blogger Zionfelix, Fatima revealed that growing up, her dad neglected them and it made life quite difficult.
In recounting the difficulties she had to go through, Fatima revealed that financial constraints pushed someone to send her to an orphanage for her to be able to survive.
