Ashanti Region: Family of four burnt to death in fire outbreak

- Residents of Amansir South District are mourning the death of a family

- The family of four died in a domestic fire accident

- The charred bodies have been deposited at the morgue

A family of four have been burnt to death following domestic fire outbreak at Manso Aponapon in the Amansie South district of Ashanti region.

The fire which destroyed the eight bedroom house is said to have happened late Saturday night, around 11pm.

The victims of the inferno include a Kofi Owusu, his pregnant wife, Esther Kwabena and their two children whose names are unknown.

The children are believed to be aged 9 and 5 years. The bodies have been deposited at St Martin's hospital at Agroyesum.

Meanwhile, four others who survived the incident sustained some injuries and are receiving treatment at the St Martin's hospital in Agroyesum.

The biological father of televangelist, Daniel Obinim, has died in his home region of the Ashanti Region.

Kojo Bonsu, known best as Agya Bonsu, is reported to have died after a short illness.

Bishop Obinim father’s name first popped up in the media when outspoken NPP MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, revealed that his stepfather who sponsored his education in Germany, was a blood relations of Agya Bonsu.

Meanwhile, family of Obinim is yet to come out with a funeral plan for his father.
