The incident which was described as a “daylight” robbery happened on Monday, April 12, 2021, YEN.com.gh gathered

The couple who went to the bank to withdraw some money were trailed by the robbers after leaving the bank premises in their private car.

The couple encountered four men upon reaching Amanful East, a suburb of Takoradi, two on motorbikes who demanded that they handed over the cash.

Armed, the robber rushed on the couple, took the money, and bolted in the full glare of some residents.

They shot the man twice.

“It was like a Holywood movie and we could not do anything about the situation. It took the police about 30 minutes to arrive at the scene,” an eyewitness was quoted as saying.

The man believed to be in his 50s died. The administrator of the Takoradi Hospital, Reverend Osei Owusu, confirmed the death of the man on Tuesday in a citinewsroom report.

The video of the robbery which was shared on Facebook sparked massive reactions and comments.

“This has become a thing, daylight robbery, My friend had an experience in traffic in Accra.....They wait and attack in traffic with knives and guns, extort money at gunpoint......Hm ....Ghana .....,” Bob Acquah Junior added.

“We know the system is hard but that’s not the best way to go…,” Bernard Kwame Heart, adding: “Daylight robbery too rampant in taadi.”
Bilintoh Abdal said, “Too bad.... the insecurity in the country is becoming one too many.”
Moretta Lensah added, “Hmm these people are caught and later released into the society again. Why won't it continue? if you take a life, they take your life too, you get human right activist wearing their suits on tv talking rubbish.”

Anabelle Dua’s mortal remains was found with some parts missing, YEN.com.gh gathered.

Dua went missing on April 1, 2021, after leaving her mother’s meat shop.

Sources close to the development who spoke on condition of anonymity said she left her mother’s shop in the company of ‘strangers’ who picked her up with their car.

That was the last time she was seen alive.

After days of search, the Kwadaso Police found Dua’s lifeless body with missing fingers and tongue.
