The Kasoa BSP project is also expected to be completed in August 2021.

ECG and GRIDCo explained that the situation on the Tema-Achimota-Mallam transmission line has resulted in low voltages especially in Kumasi and the central/northern parts of the country.

Meanwhile, ECG in collaboration with other stakeholders decided on a 7-day power cut in various parts of the Greater Accra Region.

The 12-hour long of 7 days dumsor started on Monday, May 10, 2021, and is expected to end on Monday, May 17, 2021.

The schedule is to enable the newly constructed Pokuase Bulk Supply(BSP) plant to supply power to GRIDCo's 330kV transmission line.

In other news, the Head of Corporate Communications at Ghana Gas, Ernest Owusu Bempah, has refuted claims that there is dumsor.

Owusu Bempah said it is no fault of the compressors at the company’s installations at the Takoradi Regulatory and Metering Station (TRMS).
