Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has accused some bigwigs of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) of turning officers of the Ghana Army into land guards, indiscriminately seizing properties for them.
“NPP people are using soldiers to forcefully take over people's properties. It is wrong!” the maverick lawmaker stated on the Seat show on his Net2 television and monitored by YEN.com.gh.
Pledging to report the development to the Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul, the Assin Central legislator quizzed: “Why are our soldiers land guards?”
He said he had pictorial evidence of the NPP stalwarts forcefully confiscating lands from people at Tse Addo.
"NPP should wake up, flush out all these greedy people because they are sending us to the opposition,” he warned.
It will be recalled the nonconformist lawmaker vowed to assist a future NDC administration to reclaim all the state lands looted by members of his party, the governing NPP.
"I will personally assist the NDC and show them all the state lands that you bought for them to reclaim it,” he promised on Monday, April 26, 2021, on his Net2 television.
Agyapong during that appearance on the television network told of his challenges in accessing a plot of land he bought due to machinations at Lands Commission.
In other news reported on YEN.com.gh, Agyapong further sent a strong warning to 'man of God' Francis Antwi, popularly known as Reverend Obofour.
In his latest appearance on his NET2 TV on Monday, April 26, 2021, he cautioned Obofour to be careful or get exposed by him. According to the MP, Obofour met him and discussed a lot of things with him and he will not hesitate to bring their conversation out.
"Obofour you have to be careful else I will reveal everything you told me because you cannot continue deceiving vulnerable people to amass wealth," he warned.
Away from Ken Agyapong, Lydia Forson says she is not enthused with the performance of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo one bit.
The award-winning screen goddess in a tweet sighted by YEN.com.gh expressed serious concerns with the Akufo-Addo administration's mediocre performance since taking over in 2017.
