Videos drop as Adu Safowaa gets arrested and spends night in police cells after insulting Afia Schwar
On Thursday, May 6, 2021, YEN.com.gh reported that the host of the station's morning show, Anopa Bofour, had been taken off the airwaves. It was later confirmed by Kwadwo Dickson, the station's General Manager.
It is said that Captain Smart made some not-so-nice comments about people in government. Some people think that his suspension is a form of power play to gag the media.
Meanwhile, Actress and media personality, Adu Safowaa, has reportedly been arrested by the police.
The arrest of Adu Safowaa came in the late afternoon of Thursday, May 13, 2021. A video sighted by YEN.com.gh shows Adu Safowaa standing with some security personnel in uniform.
It is not yet known what might be the cause of Adu Safowaa's arrest but it comes after her recent attacks on people she describes as Akua GMB's detractors.
Afia Schwar was one of the many people she targeted her attacks at and it had initially been reported that the comedienne had caused Safowaa's arrest.
But Safowaa came on social media to deny that Afia Schwar got her arrested. In a series of posts, Safowaa explained that one man called Chris Nyamado was the one behind her arrest.
