Reports surfaced on social media on Thursday, May 6, 2021, that Captain Smart had been taken off the airwaves.

Speaking in a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, the Angel FM GM explained that Captain Smart had been suspended not for criticising the government but for personal attacks on members of the government.

The suspension, he added, has come after Captain Smart failed to heed to advice and warnings to desist from such personal attacks.
Captain Smart's suspension from Angel FM's morning show comes almost one year after he joined the station.
