A middle-aged man in the Ashanti Region murdered his wife and killed himself afterwards, leaving behind their six children under the care of nobody.

According to a news report by JoyNews sighted by YEN.com.gh on the organization's Facebook handle, it is indicated that the mother of the six children was only 38 years old.

Other sources reveal that the incident happened on the farm when the man angrily pounced on his wife to commit the heinous crime following a tense disagreement they had.

It is reported that the man had been pestering his wife, who was the breadwinner of the family to have an affair but the woman refused as they already had a lot of mouths to feed.

It is not clear whether they were unaware of birth control measures but due to the disagreement, the man decided to rather end the life journeys of both himself and her.

When the news started being reported on both traditional and online media, SOS Ghana came to the aid of the six children and indicates that they will be fended for.
