Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has donated GHS300,000 to the Kokrokoo Charities Foundation, YEN.com.gh has gathered.
The gesture is to help the foundation to buy five incubators for selected hospitals across Ghana.
Dr. Gideon Boako, the vice president’s spokesperson made the donation on behalf of his boss which was received by the respected broadcaster, Kwame Sefa Kayi.

Meanwhile, armed police officers stormed a press conference by a pro-NPP group calling itself—'Movement for Bawumia’.
According to a report sighted on Starrfm.com.gh, the presser was scheduled for Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
It was meant to address issues surrounding the Akufo-Addo administration’s latest “no-nonsense” stance against illegal mining vis-à-vis the burning of excavators and other equipment seized at galamsey sites.
Starr News’ Ashanti Regional correspondent, Isaac Bediako, who was at the presser reported that the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator stormed the event with six armed police officers.
The organisers of the presser were whisked to the regional police command after close to an hour meeting with the armed officers.
Duncan Poku Boateng, the Ashanti Regional Coordinator of the pro-Bawumia group told the media that the armed officers stormed the presser with the explanation that they gathered intel about an impending attack on the organisers.
“I don’t really know why the police and the national security will come in to stop us. I have been told to report to the regional deputy commander which I will do after speaking to you,” he said.
