An assertion by veteran broadcaster, Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) about what he says are contradictions in the bible is drawing controversy.
During an interview on Showbiz A to Z, Sintim-Misa called out what he believes to be conflicting statements in what is often referred to as the guiding light for Christians.
"The Bible tells that God is all-knowing. He knows everything. Even the hair on our head. God knows. At the same time, you tell me that God wanted to test Abraham to find out whether or not he will kill Isaac," Sintim-Misa said to the amusement of host, George Quaye and other guests on the show.
"So he said, Abraham, go and kill your son, and just as Abraham was about to slay the son, and God said 'hey, hold on. Now I know.' He didn't know before. Come on. This is God who knows everything."
He also added: "Why do you tell me on one part God is all-knowing and then the next minute tell me, he had to test somebody to find out what the person will do."
The statement has courted a lot of reactions with some people supporting him, and others against him. YEN.com.gh has compiled a few of the comments below.
Emmanuel Mensah: "You need the holy spirit to understand the bible"
Appiah Anthony: "Mr man, your assertion is illogical. If a teacher gives his students a quiz to write, does that mean the teacher doesn't know the answer?"
Oneman Lazio: "The bible- toilet paper good for sh*tting"
Tea Bread: "The believers will tell you that you need a spiritual understanding"
Benjamin Narh Madey: "True analysis"
