Media personality, MzGee, has spoken about returning to host her shows on TV3 and 3FM.
In March 2021, the known radio and television presenter took a break from the airwaves for personal reasons.
In late May 2021, she came back into the spotlight to host her shows, Simply Showbiz and Showbuzz on the Media General-owned platforms.
In an exclusive interview, the broadcaster, born Gloria Akpene Nyarku-Acquah, told YEN.com.gh that she is excited about the return and that the support she has from viewers and listeners was affirmed during her absence.
"I am so glad. Whilst I was away, I saw a lot of messages, comments beneath my post of when I was coming back. Prior to travelling to the United States, I had already taken a month off. I was home, and then I left for another month so I have been away from radio and television for two months," MzGee said.
She added: "And it feels extremely exciting to be back because people made me feel they miss me. You know when you are on the show, and sometimes people don't make you feel like you are that needed and you special to them, and they love you, your vibe, the way you go about your shows, and all of that. Then all of sudden, you are away for two months and everyone is like 'we miss you on TV, we miss you on radio, when are you coming back. Are you sure you are going to be back?' It feels really, really, really pleasant. to be back and most importantly to know that people love me and appreciate what I do. It feels extremely graceful."
The award-winning presenter joined Media General in 2019 from the MultiMedia Group Limited, operators of Joy FM, Joy Prime, and other media properties.
In other news, Ghanaian writer and producer, Ekua Armah, has joined Savage X Fenty, a lingerie line owned by Rihanna, the top-selling American star and businesswoman.

She adds to the tall list of Ghanaians around the world including David Adjaye and Ruby Amanfu excelling in their career fields.
"Incredibly excited to announce that I recently joined the Savage X Fenty: Lingerie by Rihanna team! #newposition," reads the post by Armah, who also doubles as a curator "at the intersection of branded content, culture, and community." -
