BECE Candidates React after Sitting for Mathematics Paper, "WAEC go answer the rest"

Candidates of the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) have stirred reactions online after sharing their thoughts on the Mathematics paper.

In an interview with Sikaofficial on X, students gave different accounts of how they handled what many consider the most feared subject in the curriculum.
One male student did not hide his struggle with the questions, admitting that he only attempted the portions he understood.
Regarding the questions he could not solve, the candidate said:
"I left the rest for WAEC to answer themselves."
However, another candidate described the paper as "extremely good," though he noted that he skipped question number six because it was difficult and chose number five instead.
A young lady who spoke after the paper expressed joy, stating that she found the questions manageable.
She noted that she was confident of scoring a high mark, specifically mentioning that she expected to get an "aggregate 2."

2026 BECE: 19 invigilators and supervisors arrested
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has overseen the arrest of 19 supervisors and invigilators across six different regions.
The officials were detained following their suspected involvement in various forms of examination malpractice during the current 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
