Two Ghanaian ladies identified as Whitney Adams and Flavia Osei have landed in the grips of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for helping scammers in Ghana to dupe their victims abroad.
According to U.S court documents sighted by YEN.com.gh on pulse.com.gh, Whitney who shuttles between Ghana and America has helped Ghanaian fraudsters to scam people.
From a series of fraudulent activities online, they have made over $6 million (GH₵45,271,860) from their operations.

"From a time unknown, but by at least July 2018, and through April 7, 2022, in the District of Arizona, and elsewhere, FLAVIA ANNANG, WHITNEY ADAMS, and their co-conspirators conducted a romance/inheritance scam," the court document said.

According to the report, the scammers mostly based in Ghana created fake online dating profiles to engage in online chats, text messaging, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls with their unsuspecting victims based in the United States of America in a bid to convince them so as to extort money from them.
Most of these victims were convinced to send money to, or on behalf of, those made up romantic partners to collect a cooked up inheritance that was supposedly due to them.
These catfish accounts claimed that the money they were soliciting was to pay attorney's fees, customs duties, government fees, taxes, or other expenses related to unfreezing the inheritance.
They also promised their victims a share in the ultimate inheritance or joining them abroad so they can continue their relationship.
Victims were then provided with addresses to send checks and bank accounts to wire money or deposit checks into, which were purportedly controlled by Whitney Adams and Flavia Annang.
The two ladies, upon receipt of the said funds, then fraudulently transferred and/or kept the victims' money and no "inheritance" proceeds would be given in return following the earlier promise.
Whitney Adams has been identified as a popular social media user. She is known especially on Snapchat as "Girl Boss and noted for her lavish lifestyle which includes travelling to prime locations for luxurious vacations.
Whitney's mom, Flavia Annang was arrested with her daughter and have both been detained whilst their case is being heard in a Maryland court.

While speaking in a yet-to-be-aired episode of the Delay Show with host Deloris Frimpong Manso, Akuapem Poloo said she actually did not own the car she flaunted.
Delay threw a question to Poloo about a Honda Civic car she flaunted on social media which had a customized licence plate with the inscription "Poloo 1".
