Veteran Ghanaian media personality Joyce Akumaa Dongotey-Padi, popularly known as Akumaa Mama Zimbi, has broken her silence on her alleged feud with gospel singer Joyce Blessing.

In a snippet of her soon-to-be-released interview with Delay on the Delay show, the Adom FM presenter responded to questions about the rumoured rift.
Akumaa Mama Zimbi dismissed the allegations that she and Joyce Blessing had been feuding in recent years over a gym instructor rumoured to be their lover.
According to the media personality, she could not indulge in any romantic affairs with another man as a married woman of 30 years.
She also denied rumours that she intentionally ignored the I Swerve hitmaker during their encounter at a public event a few years ago.
Akumaa Mama Zimbi also threatened to take severe action against a blogger who reportedly started the rumours about her and Joyce Blessing.
She said:
"They said it (the rumours). God forbid. I am a woman who has been married for over 30 years. I wish I had met that blogger today. I wish to see that man today and beat him so that he won't wake up again."
In response to rumours about her alleged snub of Joyce Blessing at the event, the Adom FM presenter stated that she was in a hurry and that the musician had also arrived late and was in a rush to hit the stage for her performance.
Akumaa Mama Zimbi explained that she had earlier gone to receive an award on stage and was rushing to go and host a live TV show when she encountered the former Zylofon Music signee.
She noted that the blogger intentionally captured her encounter with Joyce Blessing on camera and decided to spread false rumours at a time when the news of the gym instructor's murder had been trending in the public space.
She said:
"On the day I met Joyce Blessing, I was in a hurry. She was late and was supposed to perform at that awards event. I had received my award and was on my way to host a live show on television. I was rushing out, and she was also coming."
"That blogger used that moment because at that time, the gym instructor had died, and that issue was hovering. They said he was shot."
Akumaa Zimbi stated that she did not know about the rumours surrounding the deceased gym instructor. She also added that she only knew Joyce Blessing as a divorcee during their public encounter.

Recall that in 2021, vlogger Obaa Tiwa alleged that Akumaa Mama Zimbi and Joyce Blessing were feuding after gym instructor Little was shot by some unknown assailants at his residence in Tantra Hills.

She alleged that the two personalities had been having a secret affair with the gym instructor while they were both married to their husbands.
Obaa Tiwa also alleged that Akumaa Mama Zimbi and Joyce Blessing had once clashed over the late Little.
