Lil Win, Christiana Awuni blast dialogue organisers

On September 16, 2025, the film stars were among the several Ghanaian creatives and actors who showed up at the National Film Dialogue.

Speaking to the media after the event, Lil Win mentioned that the event should have been held in both English and the local dialect, Twi.

He explained that there was nobody who attended the event who did not know how to speak and understand Twi, despite being on Ga soil.

"100 per cent of the people that came understand Twi and 60 per cent, English. There should have been two sessions: one in English and another in Twi, so that those who understand Twi will attend that one," he said.

The Ibrahim Traoré movie producer noted that people who were not good at English had likely left the event without learning anything.

Christiana Awuni, on the other hand, was spotted leaving the premises while holding Lil Win's hand.

She threw a subtle jab at the organisers of the National Film Dialogue for hosting the event solely in English.

"Do they think they are the only ones who understand English?" she told the media.

Awuni mentioned that the next National Film Dialogue would also be held in Kumasi and expressed disappointment that it would be hosted in English as well.

Reactions to Lil Win at film dialogue

There were mixed reactions in the comments section. While people sided with Lil Win, others noted that English was the country's first language.
